A design is only as good as its installation. We test anchors on site with calibrated equipment to confirm they carry the load they were designed for.

What we test

  • Tension pull-out tests and proof loading
  • Ultimate load tests where the design calls for them
  • The base material, such as concrete, stone and masonry
  • Installations by others, as an independent check

When anchors fail a test

We find out why, design a remedial fix and test again once it is installed.

Common questions about site testing and pull-out testing

Do you do on-site pull-out testing in Melbourne?

Yes. We use calibrated hydraulic equipment for tension tests and proof loading across Melbourne and regional Victoria. For urgent site issues we can usually attend within 24 to 48 hours.

Do anchors need to be tested on site?

Not always. Testing is worthwhile where the concrete or installation quality is uncertain, or where the design or building surveyor requires it. We specify the test load and how many anchors to test.
